Long Distance

Painted on location near the Dalles Oregon, this work allows the grand vista of Mt Hood to be usurped by the high voltage transmission tower.  Mt Hood is visible, but the view partially obscured, which both captures a sense of place and also gently questions our notions of landscape and beauty and the human place in the environment.
